Introduction

In a future plagued by sound pollution, even 40 dB (the volume of a quiet library) can cause hearing loss and permanent deafness. In this world, humans found the answer in nature and Mossbuds was founded. Mossbuds are bio-inspired wearable earbuds that don't just cancel noise—they curate it.

Problem

Solutions for protecting the now fragile human ears remain reactive and isolating. There is a need for a proactive, curating tool that lets people curate healthier soundscapes.

Solution

To give users intuitive tools too curate their hearing and create healthier soundscapes, We designed Mossbuds, biomaterial wearable and an app to control it.

My role

I led the design of the Mossbuds' user flow and crafted onboarding experiences that defines how the app begins. I also shaped the app's visual identity and branding.

Users begin by placing Mossbuds in their ears, creating a natural-body centered connection. Once in place, the companion app automatically detects and pairs with the buds. Subtle haptic feedback within the device confirms a successful connection.
